Default newbie appreciates advise from the wise

Aloha, My name is Wade and I am about to purchase my very first ATV. I have ridden motorcycles since I was 3(yes, it's true) but I am 46 now and want to make a smart, informed choice. Unfortunately, I need to acquire an ATV ASAP, due to jobs lining up on the farm I just bought. I can't get a landscaping company to show up and deal with the lawn while I work on other items. So, I am planning to buy a 4 wheeler to pull a finish mower, to haul logs off our trail, to explore the farm, cut through a stream, etc. I was told by a good buddy that Honda/Yamaha/Kawasaki were the best, and easiest to work on. I know that I want 4 wheel drive, and being 240lbs, advise on engine size would help too. Should I buy new/ (i typically buy used to save a few grand) Your advise is greatly appreciated. Mahalo,
Wade

Default No love?

ok, It's probably obvious to you guys who live online, that I'm not experienced at this blogging, or posting, or whatever the current name for it is...it's been a few days since I posted...and I haven't even received a reply from the host. Am I doing something wrong here?

Hang loose you should be getting opinions at any time.. Have to consider comfort along with your weight and what feels good to you. Don't just limit your choices to just what your buddy says, but what your rear end says after a long day in the seat. Try out several models of different brands to find out more about what you're looking for.Whether you want to shift or an an auto. Irs or straight axle. Power steering or not. Plus you have to consider the pocket book I know. Used machines you can find good deals, but you have to be careful also. Of course I could be biased and say Polaris, but I wont..

Shalom Old Polaris Tech! Hey, thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I would love to say that I took it all and spent the last few days test riding, etc...h o w e v e r...Friday evening just before a meeting, I saw a deal on craigslist that I couldn't pass up. The only other feature I kinda wanted, but didn't get was power steering. I found a 2013 Suzuki King Quad 400 with 53 miles on it. The guy rode it twice, it is a huge blessing of a find. He bought the extended warranty for $800, gave me the title & bill of sale for $6700...I paid $4000. Praise God
