2015 Polaris Polaris Ace™ 570 ATVs same suspension and width.
2016 Polaris Ace™ 570 SP ATVs
I switched the 2015 330 ace with a 2016 Ace 570. The Ace's retail price is considerably higher than the Sportsman along with being about 150 lbs heavier. Still much lighter than the Rzr 570 though. A demo model isn't exactly "brand new" but to be able to get a 2016 model for over 40% off retail price(5499 vs 9999, another for 5999 as well) is something never see. The appeal to me is that the difference in the Ace and an atv is that the Ace would be street legal in my town and the Sportsman or any other atv is not. I really don't know why they couldn't simply include atvs in their ordinance. I honestly think its a snooty way to limit street use to only people who can afford a utv because they generally are much more expensive. A bit of a class separation, if you will. If you're too poor to afford a utv, you don't deserve the right to ride your atv on our city streets. Utvs are much larger obviously but people ride bicycles and drive lawn tractors on the same city streets, both of which are smaller and slower than atvs and neither are required to have any lights of any kind. Both are very dangerous because of their slow speeds(not to mention turtle slow golf carts which are also allowed, i just shake my head at that one) and no licence is required to ride bikes or lawn tractors(the vehicles of choice for revoked licence dui offenders) so a definite double standard is in place in my town. I think a few idiots on atvs have ruined it for everyone by riding like morons around town and now the right has been taken away from everyone. The perception that utvs are for more responsible, mature people vs atvs. I guess the old saying you can't fight city hall applies here. Rant over.

I think I like handle bars over a steering wheel and a thumb throttle/hand brake over a gas petal/foot brake.
Nope. The initial '04/05 models were 439cc and rated for 39 hp. The Honda of that era was a touch slower, but I can't recall what the stock dyno peak was. Not that it mattered, who leaves these things stock?

Congratulations! I enjoyed many years on my Sportsman X2 500. Hope you have as much fun as I did.

PS It's not a good idea to use the winch cable as a tie down strap. It can damage the gears inside the winch prematurely.

Yeah.. the place I bought it from did that when they loaded it.. I was a bit skeptical and will not do that on the future..

I am wondering if it has any aftermarket or Polaris optional parts.. see attached.. note all the red suspension pieces. Crazy how clean it is for being 9 years old.. guessing it was a hunting machine only.. especially with only 330 miles.

Dealers charge about 80-110 dollars per hour depending on your location. The sportsman has engine, gearbox, and Dif oil in both the front and rear differentials that should be changed so You probably got about an hour or in total plus oil/filters. If you have a few wrenches, you could save both time and money by doing it yourself.

Invest in quality synthetic oils to prevent excess oil thickening in cold weather. You'd be shocked just how thick conventional oils become when the temp outside drops

Looks great. Green is a good color. I guess I never really noticed how the rear suspension on those Sportsman models sort of protects the rear cv joints as it wraps around them, that is a nice feature and the red looks great too. With 330 miles, it looks like a brand new machine. Another alternative to taking it to a dealer is if you have a friend who can help you with fluid changes if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

Its easy to do, You have a front diff that takes AWD demand fluid the motor oil (0w-40) synthetic and the tranny (Chain case oil) their is no gear oil since the tranny acts as the rear diff, atleast on mine it does.

Here are the oil filters to chose from.

These Oil Filters have 20 x 1.5mm threads, 14 psi by-pass valve, anti-drain back valve, 2.3" O.D. gasket 2.5" to 3.5" long.
