I have a 92 polaris 350l Trailboss which I bought used. Had to replace magneto and starter since they were bad. Every thing is good except starter. Turns out the one which was on the ATV is actually for a 92 250 Trailblazer. Didn't know this till after getting one from Amazon. Anyone know if these are interchangeable or not? It seems to fit okay but some thing just isn't right.

 

Welcome to the forums. Same starter used on the 250,300,350,400 2 stroke engines. If you didn't replace the bendix(gear shaft) possibly that's the problem if it's not engaging the flywheel correctly,either kicking back or just spinning. If you did replace it there is a small washer behind the bendix that people have forgotten to reuse from the old one also. Don't know if this is what you're talking about.
