Default lt230s

I just bought a lt230s. Im wanting some suggestions on cheap modifications to the bike and to know how hard it is/ where to get a thumb throttle to replace the motorcycle throttle.

The only way it would have a twistie is if the p.o. put it on. But internet probably be the cheapest bet, you can compare and look for bargains in seconds.

Cheap mods, not many. You can change the sprockets out. Stock is 12/38 (I believe) so 13/39 or 14/42 would help juice it up. Other than that, there is shock swaps, bigger carb ( don't go bigger than 32mm) some will say 30 is big enough, which it is.

Usually you can throw a throttle from a different machine on it. Hard part can be matching up the throttle cable. Most any place that sells oem parts can sell you one piecemeal. You may get lucky looking for parts machines on ebay or Craigslist also.

After riding the bike I have noticed a few things.
1. Both front tires have alot of play in them. What would possibly be causing this?
2. When trying to kick start the bike I have to give it gas at the same time. Is this normal or what?

Play in the front tires could be a lot of things. Worn ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, a arm bushings are the likely suspects. Could very well be a combination of those. A little throttle while starting is ok. I would check the jetting though. My lt230 was always a bit of a bear to start when cold, it liked a little throttle too.
