New Banshee Rider
#1
Hey guys, new to the forum. I live in SC, but grew up in KY riding quads most of my life. I currently have a 2016 Suzuki KingQuad 500 AXi, a 2005 Suzuki Ozark 250, and just purchased a 2001 Yamaha Banshee. The Banshee is the reason I joined the forum. I have never owned one and would like to see what is out there for maintenance and affordable upgrades. The bike is insanely fast and in relatively good condition for the age. It has the usual wear and tear from riding, but actually does have the original front tires still on it. Full Pro-circuit exhaust and carbs have been jetted accordingly. Anyway, I look forward to the information and convos.

I looked at some aftermarket shocks on Ebay in the 3-400.00 range. The first thing is going to be new rotors, brake pads, wheel and axle bearings to make the bike safe at speeds. Then, I have got to rebuild the kickstart lever because it flops around while I'm riding. My Pro-Circuit exhaust is a little rusted, so I was thinking about replacing it or getting it coated.

I just recently rebuilt my banshee from the ground up. And before the rebuild everything worked fine from the engine to the electrical. After putting it all together and mounting my new LED lights when the RPMs increased they blew. Took my multimeter and tested the current coming to the lights and when it's idling I was at 12 volts and when I increased the RPM the multimeter maxed out. After some research I decided to purchase a new voltage regulator/rectifier. I connected the new regulator then went ahead and tested the voltage and I got the same reading. Could I be experiencing a ground problem because I just had the frame powder coated
