Hi, new guy needing help
#1
Just joined hoping for some help. First a little about myself--live in southern Oregon, been riding and racing for too many years to keep track of. I like all things outdoors, hunting fishing riding etc. Now my problem----tried starting my 700 prairie while battery charger was hooked up, heard a pop/snap near the ignition switch, now nothing,no dash instruments,no winch, nada nil nothing. Bought new ignition switch thinking burnt wires or something, still nothing. Any help, ideas, much appreciated

Having your charger hooked up shouldn't have made something burn out. Did you check all your fuses as Hydrex said? You may have blown one. My Brute Force had to have the battery charged when I originally bought it because it had sat at the dealer so long that it went dead. The charger was still hooked up when it was originally started there. I have since bought a new battery but that didn't keep it from starting when I bought it 6 months ago. I only put a new battery in it about a month ago.
