Hello everyone
My name is Andy. My boys currently own a Carter Talon FX150r. Obviously its having issues. Why else would I join the forum. LOL.
Soooo. Last year they were out riding it. No issues. Ran fine. Next time wanting to ride it. No start. Looked at it a few times with no luck. Fast forward to now. I replaced the coil, plug, cdi, coil pickup. I know, im not one for chasing parts but for $40 why not. It has spark. Its getting gas. Spark timing is correct as is the cam timing. Valve gap is good. Even if the mention three were off a tad I would at least get a sputter, backfire, something. But I get no signs of wanting to start. What the heck. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andy2453, welcome to the ATV Connection. There are several people who can help you with your problem. Unfortunately I ain't one of them. These Forums take a while to search and find the answers you want. You'll get the hang of it just fine.

Any IC engine needs fuel, spark, and compression to fire. The details of getting these three elements gets quite a bit more involved.

Thanks Dave. I guess a compression test is next on the list.

Hi Andy: One more experiment to try. Crank it a few times like you are trying to start it. Chock on if it has one. Then pull the spark plug. I would expect to see it wet with fuel. I read you said it is getting gas, but none the less. "If the plug ain't wet, then you gotta check."
