Default Hi from Eastern WA

Hi Gang,
New ATV owner here from Spokane, Washington. Just picked up a cheap, project, Chinese 250cc ATV to tinker on with fried electronics and badly hacked wiring harness.

I've already been gleaning great information and wiring diagrams from your forums here. All very much appreciated!

Cheers!

What do you guys think is the faster quad a stock 1987 trx250x or a 2004 trx300ex with moose jet kit. Full fmf pipe and a air filter

Thanks for the warm welcome. Cool place here!

Here's a few pics of my project.

'07 Kangchao 250 ATV. Little rough in the plastics... but clean and straight underpinnings.

And here it is undressed... with me tinkering with the old wiring and CDI.

230cc watercooled 167MM engine. Manual 4 gears w/ reverse. Shaft drive.

Cheers!

Hello from Colorado ripcuda: You jumped into the hobby with both feet. By renovating your first quad, you will learn so much about them and how to keep them on the trails. The machine looks quite simple when the bodywork is off. Maybe someone has a wiring diagram of your machine that would be helpful (at least to me it would.)

Ride safe,

David
