Hello from Colorado: Congratulations on your Can Am 450l. I have an Outlander Max also. Here in Colorado, due to thin air, I was encouraged to buy a bigger engine. I have yet to use the extra horsepower. I have read that your 450 may be all the power you need for trail riding. My average speed on the trails is 10 to 15 mph. It's just too bumpy to go faster, and there are too many obstacles to steer around. A 35 horse machine will do quite nicely unless you are in deep mud or crawling up very steep inclines. And your machine doesn't have the extra weight of a big bore machine.
