Hey how is everyone? Could use some help. I have a 2005 yfz 450. The issue is thst i have to give the quad about hslf throttle to get her rolling in 1st gear. It has a high-compression piston port and Polished head stage 3 hot cams. What could make it where i have such a poor bottom end?

Sounds like the engine was modified for high speed racing. Those "hot cams" may be the culprit in low torque on the bottom half of the rev range. I once modified my old Alfa sports car with a "racing head" that had high lift cams. Cool huh? The car was almost undriveable on the street. Same type of symptom. I had to give lots of throttle and slip the clutch to get it underway. I put the stock head back on.
