I am new to the site and I am looking for information about my 2009 Polaris sportsman 400 H.O. and to give help if I am able to assist in the future..

Here is my dilemma when I got the 400 I placed it on a charger to get some power back into the battery. Come to find out battery was bad. But I got it to run by jumping it with the charger. Rode it around the yard for a couple laps to get it warmed up. Then parked it till the new battery came in placed the new battery in and tried to fire it up it took it a couple minutes with the choke on and pumping the throttle to get it fired up. Could this be a fuel pump or timing issue ???

Thanks Scott

Welcome to the forums.

Check out the Polaris section. We have a retired Polaris mechanic who frequents the site and is great at offering the solutions to most problems.
