Well hi
#4
I 2006 I bought a new Yamaha Kodiak and round up selling it for years later. Actually my entire family bought Kodiak‘s in grizzlies. I wound up buying and identical 2006 Kodiak from a family member. He had that mothballed for 2 years. It has low mileage and I know it hasn’t been abused. However he did not properly store it. When I turn the gas supply to the on position it starts leaking gas. However when I put it in the reserve position it stops!? I’m assuming that it’s the carburetor seals that may be leaking? I don’t know and I’m far from being a mechanic. Is this something that I need to bring and to have it serviced or is it something that I could do myself? I am somewhat handy with some tools but don’t want to screw anything up especially with that part of the engine. Any help or direction would be most appreciated.
