I bought the 2003 prairie 650. I have heard it called a kvf 650, whats the difference if any? Or is mine a kvf 650/ prairie 650/ rocket / super kawi [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] One thing is for sure im gonna get a 700 kvf ASAP!!!!

 

KVF is the Kawasaki model for prairie. All Prairies are KVF. Th KFX are the sport models. KLF is a bayou, I think, or is it?

If you are from canada, isn't your 650 called a KVF and not a Prairie? Lots of canadians here. I bet there are more 650's per capita in canada than in the US.

 

Yep, that si right. The Prairie 650 is called the KVF 650 in Canada. Just like the Honda Rancher is called TRX350 up there. It is the model line. Best I can guess, is that here in the states, we like real names more then letters and numbers, so that is what they do.

 

Prairie, Rancher, etc., don't translate to French. To avoid having to rebadge machines being shipped to Quebec, they just use the letter designation.
