By reading your profile list I would say you probably need to get more air into the carbs to help let that pro circuit pipe work. Add an aftermarket snorkle and/or put some holes in the airbox lid. Once you've done this maybe think about adding a less restictive air filter then rejet for these additional changes. Some of the other mods you've made are going to add weight to your bike so that is going to slow you down abit but the performance mods should help balance it out so that you loose nothing or maybe gain a little.

dude your bike is obviously not tuned/jetted correctly. I personally don't see why everyone thinks they need to rejet as soon as they put on an exhaust pipe. It's not like a 2 stroke where you get huge gains from changing the pipes etc. I think most of the time people end up getting worse than stock performance with simple mods and trying to dial in the carbs themselves. Also curious why you added a lift kit with only 25" tires, and spacers?

lightman, when i got my new pipes, i was told that rejetting went hand in hand with new pipes. a year ago i couldn't even spell ATV now i own four of them and a year ago i would never even consider changing my own oil in my trucks. but with some really cool tools and forums like this one and helpful people like you, i'm hooked on mechanical stuff. the problem i have is that i don't have the experience to know how to tweak things after i have installed them per the directions. as for the lift and spacers. here again i didn't really have a clue what i was doing. i wanted to get my bike up out of the water/ mud as much as possible and thought this was the solution. my bike still looks good over all from what people tell me.

Ken we all learn sometime, and I'm no veteran to the sport either, I've been learning as I go along as you have. I'm also no 5 star mechanic due to lack of experience like you , but I recognize that and don't jump in the deepend before I know how to swim, or without someone there who does I would highly recommend getting someone who knows something about tuning 4 stroke atv's, even better p650s, and let them tune your bike. If that's not an option, go back to stock and start from there. Determine if the exhaust pipe actually adds enough performance to cause a lean condition and warrants rejetting. As for the lift kit, that's personal preference. Some have said it is harder on the cv's/axles etc, but I'm not sure on that one. Most do it so they can add larger tires. The lift and the larger tires will give you more ground clearance. It will also raise your center of gravity, taking away from stability and high speed handling. Its give and take on that one.

I've heard putting pipes on 4 strokes only gives you about 6-7 more horse power vs a 2 stroke 10-15 more horse power. Thats why i did nyroc's exaust mod. ( Cheap mod with good results ) Do a plug check and see where your bike is at before you start rejetting it. I had to check my plugs for a long time before i got it correctly dialed in. But now i can top out at 67 mph on a straight run, 70 mph on a down hill, and have no problem pulling wheelies. ( just in case anyone was wondering i checked my speed on a gps not my speedo since my speedo is off by 2 mph.)

Before i put more air into the bike i would check those plugs and see if you need more air or more fuel.

kendawg,

Lets take it from the top. A few quick questions. 1) What elevation are you at? 2) Are you running the full t4 system or just the slip on? 3) What main jets do you have installed currently, what notch are the needles set at and how many turns out on the airscrews.

Assuming your below 1000' and running the full exhaust system then your mods are close to where I started and I think we can probably get the jetting close. I applaud someone who is willing to dive in and try to learn on their own. You learn by doing and that is the main reason for this forum, helping each other with problems and an exchange of ideas and knowledge.

A hesitation when you pin it is definately a fuel problem. I installed my t4 and put in the recommended jetting from dynojet and the thing was a pig. One problem I had was running the t4 quiet core at first (you don't have that installed right?), this made the exhaust too restrictive and the bike ran terrible rich, I couldn't get 40 mph if I ran it over a cliff. lol. Anyway, I removed that and ended up 2 sizes leaner on the jetting, ran like a top. I have now added the snorkle and 3 - 1" holes in airbox lid and raised the jetting back to recommended sizes. Plugs are dark tan, no hesitant and pulls like a wild beast on a short leash. I love it. Each bike is a little different though and I wouldn't recommend you going leaner than recommended on the mains unless you do a good plug check to see where you at right now. Check some of these things out, let me know and I'll help the best I can. Good luck.

Steve

After they get you all dialed in, the Holeshot or the Brooks power module might be another consideration, with the top end to follow. I believe Wildwood MO is about 800' so basicly sea level.
