FORCE in the mountains of KY
Just got back from a trip to Livingston, KY with my stock FORCE.
I really have a lot to say right now....but I'm gonna try to condense this for readers sake.
I am Sooooo happy I bought this machine right now. It was by far the best ride I've had in the hills. For those who are not familiar with this riding area...Livingston offers some of the greatest variety of riding all in one huge area. We did rock climbing, jumping, mudding, fast trail riding / racing (on sandy trails and on rough dirt trails), some creek riding, and just all around riding our a$$e$ off.
I usually go with my friends (they ride Rappy's, Scramblers, Predator, 400EX, 300EX, etc...) and I've had the opportunity to ride all of the bikes (except for the Hondas). I must say that The Force is by far the best (FAST) trail quad out of the ones I've had the opportunity to ride. It is smooth, responsive, climbs like a *****, and is just down right comfortable all day long.
On the really difficult / steep areas...the other bikes with cluthes stalled out when slipping hard on rocks and such....the Force keeps on pushing through everything. Ground clearance on this machine is great and the stability is off the hook. I never had a bit of difficulty with the width....surprised me cause I really felt it would be wide for manuvering in the trees before I got there (nice, tight turns get you through). When you hit a clearing just smack the throttle and wheelie your way down the path....It felt so cool[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img].
I did get stuck in some really, really thick, deep mud...but I knew it when I hit it (going sooo fast I just couldn't stop in time).
I am just down right tickled with this bike. I can't really think of one thing that bugged me at all. I know a lot of people here wrote about goosing the throttle on down hill runs.....so when I came to it, I just tapped the throttle and the engine breaked GREAT. I rarely had to use the breaks and we traveled down some serious hills. I don't have pics yet (didn't want to destroy my camera...gonna take a disposable next time).

Thats great to hear. I ride in Livingston abuot once a month and am thinking about selling the Raptor and getting a V-force. One of my biggest concerns was how responsive the V-force is climbing rocky terrain. Guess I'll be putting the Raptor up for sale soon.

You'd be impressed with the abilities of the 700. As you know...there are some serious climbs at Livingston...I had no troubles.
What's more I was able to climb hills / rocks in one run that took my buddy on his Raptor two or three runs at.
The KFX comes with Holeshot tires that seem to do great on the trails / rocks. Only thing I slipped on much was some roots on steep up hill runs...but still made it up. This past weekend was a mudfest in Livingston...and the mud was Noooo problem.
One thing is that the KFX is much bigger. It is way more comfortable than the Rappy....and more stable. The size is something you get used to quickly.
Wheelies are easier to ride on the KFX than the Rappy.

Where did you buy your quad? The nearest place to me doesn't like to deal much and they have no place to even give it a little test ride. Soon as I sell my Cobra I'm gonna start looking for a V-Force. Thanks again for the info.

Got mine at Kawasaki of Richmond. 859-624-9788 ask for Jeff...he runs it. I don't believe they have anymore in stock though. I know this is really far south from where your at...but Kawasaki in Pikeville, KY has been getting a bunch in and selling them about $400 less than most other shops. I don't have their number handy. What I did was get on the phone and call every dealer in each city that was in moderate driving distance....then try to get the best price (about $6350 out the door).
I found a bunch of shops in small cities like Mt. Sterling on the web....you can get enough phone numbers to surely find a shop close to you.
