I have ben reading some of the post's and people are talking about a cdi...what are they and what do they do???

basically your engine is controlled by a computer chip( timing, power band etc.). Factories often de-tune their engines using a CDI to make them safer, control emissions, and extend the engines life. Using an aftermarket CDI, you can get more of the engines true potential.
