Penland tie rods for the V Force!
#1
Just got the new stronger tie rods from Mike Penland, these are the same ones used by all Team Green racers on the V Force's. Give him a call when you need to get yours, believe me, if you ride hard at all you'll need um soon!

Kawi made them like this I believe to prevent breaking other parts. You may never have a problem and then again you may catch a tree and bend one. I hit a tree pretty hard with the stock tie rods still on and never hurt a thing except the big bruise left on my stomach where I jammed the handle bars into myself.

All I do is trail ride, and I thought nothing of my tie rods. I clipped a few good roots and they were fine. Now the left looks like a boomerang, and there were no stumps this time, so I don't get it.

Hey Iamnothing I did the same I just bent it back and has been ok so far. Look one of Kevinm's post's I think he has a pic of his tie rod's he took the stock tie rod and slid a piece of tubing over it and welded the tubing on this look's like a very cost effective fix that would work or you could spend 70$ on the Penland or JS or who ever make's them tie rod's. There are a set of tie rod's on ebay right now I think for the V that are harder more durable material and have heim joint's on them instead of ball joint's but I think the are around 100$.

I had mine straightened by a buddy in a machine shop, because they did't have reverse metric dyes to make them. For $10, I ordered 1 new one, and I'm gonna have my friend get me aluminum tubes for over them. (I change icons quite a bit, but thanks)
