Just picked up my 700 v force few days ago. I love it as much as I love me 650 prairie. What power!!!! awesome
However I do miss the full floorboard protection on my priarie. Yesterday riding I got hit with few small rocks and sticks along the trails. I also find that if you turn the wheel the tires send alot of water spray right as you. So you end up with wet wet feet. Since I dont race . I have an idea about seeing if I can get custom floor board that extend to the front fender. I dont know about the wheel hitting it on bump.Put looks like it can workoutif bend at right angle
So today sinces its raining here in NJ and I am not working. I decided to make templet out of cardboard. My local metal shop would be lost trying to figure out how to make it and secure it. I was thinking that you can make it out of thin aluminum or stainless and remove the skid plate that comes from the factory. Secure it to the main frame and foot peg. Then sercure the top half to the fender. Along the outside of the floor board they can weld a 1/2 round pipe to act as nefr bar too. I have few pictures of the cardboard installed .Yes it looks alittle funny but if it was metal painted black of made out of heavy plastic it would look OK. I am open to any suggestions. If I can get a list of 700 owners that were interested in something like this .I am sure someone would build them. I would think it would be easier to use a factory nurf bar unit... and then make a "plate"
to replace the nets ???

I was thinking the same thing .just make plate and have it bent toward the fender.
Who makes best ,toughtest nerf bars?

Can't help there.... I ordered a set of AC Racing from someone.... they say they are still a few weeks out.
