Paddles for Vforce

3tv,
Are you sure they have Haulers on the Actionoffroad.com site? I didnt see any paddle tires there bigger than 22's, and I didn't see any Skat Trac tires at all? am I missing something here?

I've been keeping in close contact with Skat-Trak about the paddles for the V Force. Yesterday they told me that they did some more research over the weekend and that they still cannot find the right combination. They are trying to get more flotation to compensate for the weight. They are considering building a new tire just for the 700. In the meanwhile, I have heard them suggest the Edge 8 paddle and the 10 paddle in 22".
Until they get something ironed out, I'm still using the Gecko's and they are not too impressive.

In another forum I posted:
I have the Skat Trak Edges in 22x11x10 8 paddle and get beat every time by my buddy with Skat Trak Extremes in the same size and paddle. Prior to that he had the Edges and we would go head to head, now he is a good 4-5 bike lengths on me at the top of a 700ft dune. Go with the Extremes or wait for the new tire Skat Trak is developing for the V. I believe its going to be called the "Ripper".

And then 3TV posted:
Actionoffroad.com has a set of Skat Trak Rippers in stock (22x11-10 with 9 paddles). I had to choose paddle tires for my V-force so drove over to Action Offroad a few weeks ago and looked at a set of Haulers, Extreme Haulers, Taller Haulers, and Rippers all lined up side by side (they had ALL of them in stock). I chose the Taller Haulers because I "thought" they would give more hook-up off the line, and I am happy with them so far, but have limited time on them.
When comparing these different tires I noticed that the Rippers have even stronger and thicker paddles than the Extremes do, and that they are mid-way between Extremes and Taller Haulers when it comes to paddle height. So in other words, the Extremes have a 7/8" tall paddle, the Rippers have a 1" tall paddle, and the Taller Haulers have a 1 1/8" tall paddle. The Taller Haulers also have a 1/2" longer paddle than the Rippers do. The Rippers would be more durable if you had to ride across a parking lot to get to sand, or if you ever hit a rock or a log with your paddle tires while duning. But I really think the Taller Haulers will provide more "bite".

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE RIPPERS SOUND LIKE THERE KINDA COOL, IM JUST UP IN THE AIR WITH MINE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH PADDLE TO GO WITH, I HAVE 22-11-10 HAULERS WITH 8 PADDLES,WHICH STOCK IT DID PRETTY GOOD, BUT MY NEXT TRIP IN 2 WEEKS TO THE DUNES I WILL HAVE HMF DUALS, CLUTCH WORK, AIR BOX OPENED A LITTLE. I JUST WONDER IF I WILL NEED 10 PADDLES OR 9 ?????? WHO KNOWS ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT

I have an HMF pipe with 22x11x10 Skat Trak extremes 10 paddles and they still spin and dig in somewhat. The work pretty good but I am waiting for skat trak to come out with some 25x12x9 's so I can get better flotation. Hope this helps.

I finally got some paddles, the 22x11x10 generic haulers with 8 paddles. I get to try them tomorrow. Last time I went with knobbies so I should get a good comparison against those at least. I would have got something bigger but didn't want to wait to special order 24" haulers. Happy 4th of July folks!

Hey guys, a little of the topic but could a Vforce with paddle tires plane across a mud pit about 20 yards long? We have local races in my town called mud drags were the mud/water is only 8 iches deep with a hard bottom. Ive seen a quedzilla 500 plane across, do you think a Force could?
