Jetting for KFX 700 with Dual Exhaust
#1
What main jets are people using on the front and rear carbs with the aftermarket dual exhausts currently on the market (DMC, HMF & Pro Circuit). Have you made any airbox mods and how do they effect the jetting? I ask because I'm looking to jet my 700 for the new Pro Circuit duals I installed this weekend (and I would also like to know whether the airbox mods make a difference). Thanks.

Thanks PCDoc,
Do you think the aftermarket TwinAir filter flows more than the stock filter? Where did you purchase yours, as I haven't seen any aftermarket filters on the market? Any drilled holes in the airbox cover?
Overall, how is the improvement (vs the HMF duals but no airbox mods)?

Really don't know that the TwinAir flows any better than the stock filter. They look to be made of almost the same type of foam. It might be a bit lighter than the stock one but not really sure. I purchased mine from rockymountainatv.com. Just order one for a 03 Prairie since it is the same. They didn't have a 04 700 listed as a choice. I don't have any holes in the airbox right now. That may change in the near future.
I got quite a jump with the dual exhaust. They claim a 7hp increase and I believe it. I received a lot of compliments on the jamboree this past weekend in Genoa on the sound of my bike. It is very loud as I run it without the baffles in. My elevation is just under 1500 feet.

PCDoc,
Thanks for the scoop. Most of my riding is done in Pennsylvania at about the same elevation (1500 feet or so). Since I will have about 12-15 holes in the airbox lid (but with the snorkel and barrier in place), I'm probably going to try starting with 155/160 main jets and go larger or smaller from there. Thanks again.

Hey again,
Because my Alien just landing five minutes ago from Rocky Mountain ATV, great topic. I just pulled the head pipe's out of the box and tomorrow I'll ship them to Jet Hot Coating in Arizona.
DMC/Alien recommends 138 frt and 140 rr jets as per their instructions. Can anyone running the Alien comfirm this, is this about right. I'll be riding at sea level to 2000'. Thanks in advance, Putt
