I have had my 2001 raptor at 82 mph....the only way i know this is cause i was riding behind one of my friends iin a car, and that wasnt all she had. I havent got a lot done to the ole girl..just a full yoshimura system, k&n filter and a stage1 jet kit and it still needs to be jetted again.

Top speed for a stock raptor is in the low to mid 70s mph range, depending on rider weight and riding surface. I am 6'2" 240 lbs and I gpsd my stock raptor at a little over 72 mph, the bike had just a tad more to give but I ran out of road. I believe that gps is the most accurate reading you will get.

Drafting or NOT drafting, the fact of the matter is, i was going that fast and thats all that matters. and drafting is racing so. lol. It might have shaved 10mph or it might have shaved nothing. The only thing is, i was THERE DUDE..lol

You can probably get it up to 100 mph if you draft behind that car right off a high cliff.
If are close enough behind a car you could maintain that speed at about 3/4 throttle, drafting makes a huge difference.
The only way to test true top speed is to use a radar gun or GPS in one direction, get your top speed, then turn around and go the opposite direction in the same path and average the two top speeds with you being the only one on the trail. This will elliminate many variables such as wind, degree of slope, and drafting.
