03 P650 Belt light?
For some reason I thought the belt check light was supposed to come on at 100 hours. Am I mistaken, is it 1000 miles? Anyway I have about 104 hours or so (since january, woohoo!) and 1200 miles, and no belt light has come on. Just curious, as I was expecting to have to do the belt light reset procedure I read about on Nyroc's site.

I'm thinking that possibly when the dealer installed my black spring and re-shimmed my belt he could have reset the switch or hours?? I'm surprised it still hasn't gone off yet.
When the light comes on will the bike have performance problems, like I'll need to reset it out on the trail??

03 P650 Belt light?
just a little sucky info. Im a proud 650 owner. A good friend of mine had a 02 660 grizz he got back in sep of 01 it had 2100 miles on it no belt problems never left him stranded and thats with running 27" out laws. he has actualy had to pull me home with it because ive gone broke 2 belts and both times i was in the middle of nowhere. But what im getting at is he said he didnt care about replacing a belt once a year he wanted the power and torque of the 650. so he parked his grizz and got an 03 praire he simply loved it. till it left him stranded it didnt totaly brake but it tripped the switch he is not a happy camper. he only has 150 miles on it. thats BS kawai needs to fix this problem grrrrrr
