Default Oil change on a v-force

Need some info please, I did my first oil change today and when I went to my local dealer for the oil and filter, he told me to run 10w30 instead of what the manual says. The manual says to use 10w40. Any info would greatly help.

I would go by what the manual says & NOT your dealer.
My manual for the P650 also states 10w40 as the recommended weight but allot of us use 20w50, as it also states this in your manual in the maintenance & adj section, just be sure it has the correct API grades.
No where in my manual does it state 10w30.

Yes, I would have to agree with bfb650b2. But I would not go to a synthetic till I had more miles on it,other wise it will not break in right. Oh yeah; try not to let the a$$holes down at the tracks get to you.lol...
