I usually run 250r's, but I just got an 87 mojave, and I am going to build it up and see how it goes, does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do/what not to do or what is pointless as far as building these quads. I was planning on a new cam, supertrapp pipe, cdi box, new springs, port, and replacing clutch, going to grip throttle, etc.

Also I would be interested in information on where to get some of the mods done. I live in southern california/northern california 50/50.

Any information would be helpful.

I have all those mods on my 93 except cams and I installed the Wiseco 11.5:1 piston. Four Stroke Tech (814-842-6159) did my porting and valve job for $200 their in Penn. They also modify black boxes. He didn't recommend the cams since I trail ride and need low end power. Talk with them, He built the Mojave's for team Kawasaki last year, He Knows the bike well. I was very impressed with the mods. It's to close to call when I run a piped warrior, and 300ex's are always behind me. Good luck and feel free to ask Questions here.

Uni pod, 41 rear sproket and 13 front, Team Green race plastic and seat cover(off Todd's bike), Works front shock, 350X rear, Dura-blue Eliminator 2+2, Razrs, PRM bumpers and skid, +2/3/4 swingarm. This thing hauls!

DON'T BUY THE MAIER plastics!!!!! They suck!! IT has no shine, rougher than crap, doesn't fit worth crap, have to cut your own holes(pain in the a$$). Just buy factory kawasaki plastic and leave off the mud flaps or you can cut them. I can give you some help on cutting them. Just let me know if you need any help.

JD I see you have a Cobra Jet on each of your bikes I assume you like them & would you recommend them? How much were they, did you keep the factory head pipe and do you run a spark arrester?

Thanks for the info bro

They are the best pipe out there for the Mojave. It comes with a over-sided header. It's like $140. It does not have a spark arrester. Spark arresters give you crap for power unless you have to have one.

They are the best pipe out there for the Mojave.(ran our own dyno runs vs 4 other pipes, TC said so himself!) It comes with a over-sized header. It's like $140. It does not have a spark arrester. Spark arresters give you crap for power unless you have to have one.

Hey- what about carbs..with all of the mods have you changed your carbs. I was thinking of putting in the Keihin 38 mm PE carb after my new pipe and wiseco .40 over piston, and port job. what do you think
