Warn 2500 wiring?
One good spot is (as you're sitting on the machine) behind the right or left front splash shield. The only pain is more than likely you will have to take your front brushgaurd off to get to it. There is a black plastic piece that sits behind your front splash shield on the right and left sides of your radiator. You can bolt the contactor to the inside of it with the studs facing towards the radiator. After you wire everything up and bolt your bumper back on, the contactor is pretty much protected. If you're interested, I could e-mail you a picture of what I'm talking about. I'm not saying that this is the best spot to mount it, but you're fairly limited for extra space on the 650.

I think I know where you are talking but a picture would be great. You can send it to cadelong@sherbtel.net.

Just read your posts or I'd of posted sooner on troubleshooting. I'm a little late so all I can do is congratulate you on getting it working. But what I want to mention is that the solenoid is a safety appliance to keep the crushing power of that winch from being used unless you are there and purposefully using it. If you don't have any children around and know that nobody can acess your quad and that nothing unforseeable will ever happen. . . But it may be worth a few bucks (I think around $20) to help prevent something stupid from happening. I'm not tryin to tell you what to do but I have spent some time working ER (and seen some nasty and unnecessary stuff) and just wanted to encourage you to go the extra step. Ride safe.

Thanks Pecker (<---that doesnt have a nice ring :-)
You bring up a good point that anyone not running a solonoid should consider. Most kids are pretty switch happy. I curb this by keeping my full cover locked down on it, they would have to do some serious snooping around to find their way into it.
