Default Stock Wheels Really Bent

Anybody else havin problems with the stock wheels bending real easy? All four of mine look as though theve been riding in a mine field.Even tagging a rotton log bent them, let alone when I get off into the rocks.Just wondering if there is a solution to this situation without resorting to new (expensive)wheels.I'm still runnin the stock rubber and will be till the end of fall for budgetary reasons, and I do realize better tires will protect them a little more, but I'm real tired off blowin beads on every ride. How good are the Mud Lites for Rim protection? Also, has anyone tried runnin tubes in thier tires? If so how did that work out?

I bent one in a roll. My bro bent two in a roll. I don't see how you can bend them as easy as you say, unless you are just referring to making a little ding in the rim. That always happens. Bear CLaws have a pretty good rim protector.

FYI, although stock wheels are light and inexpensive, you should replace them with douglas wheels since they are the same price and much stronger. ITP rims are stronger too, but will space your front tires out wider.

I have dented both my front rims but they still seem to be running fairly true. I also have not hit anything major and my latest dent came from a minor stream crossing at very slow speed. The funny thing though is that they seem very soft and easily bent but when I tried to pound out the bend in the outer lip with a plastic punch, they would not bend back in shape easily. Basically I think the stock rims are crap and am thinking of replacing them with 26" ITP 589s on black C series rims.

I wish ITP had not discontinued the Magnum Billet wheel for the 650 Prairie... I put my set through he((, they are amazingly strong & light...I ran my stock wheels for 4-5 months of abuse, with only minor dings... perhaps your'e running too high or too low, air pressure ( depending on where the wheels are bending )??? WAM
