Default DUNE RIDER KNOWITALLS!!!

Ok dune riders where is the best place in the states to ride dunes?i live in canada and me and some friends are looking to come down and shred some dunes.we are thinking idaho,which would be closest,or if better mabey california. and also what does a guy need for the dunes.we all have kfx 400,400ex,banshee`s.and dirt bikes.and because i im from canada i will even say,'' thanks for the info,''EH''.

Default DUNE RIDER KNOWITALLS!!!

Oregon. hands down. I make the 15 hour drive every year. It's worth it. But you better plan on
staying a whole week if you want to see everything.

avoid Utah in the summer, the heat will melt your helmet. Otherwise it's great.

Make the trip in the winter , your Dune options are greater . Plus how many hosers out there can say the got to ride in shorts during the month of November......lol

Default DUNE RIDER KNOWITALLS!!!

I have only been to the Oregon dunes and can't speak for other areas. I can tell you that the Oregon area is fantastic and huge, with variable terrain choices. Sandy trails through trees, ocean front riding or desert dunes. Go in late April and ride through seasonal fresh water areas with a t-shirt on (unless it rains) and better sand conditions than the summer. I have been going for the past 4 years, and I finally have a good enough mental map of the place so I won't get lost, which is easy to do in some areas, which are over 40 sguare miles. Its never crowded due to size. Have fun!
