i know that this kinda jury rigging but it works. i have a motion detector light i took a light out and put in a socket that screws in it and it also has a place to plug in an extension cord i ran the cord up through my floor into my bedroom and hooked it up to a lamp by my bed side. when and if the motion detector picks up movement it will turn my light on in the bedroom and it will wake me up. another way to make sure noone steals it is to buy a chain hoist and hoist it up to the rafters and then chaining it off and removing the hoist my uncle used to do that on his harley i guess it works he still has it

There already is such a thing that you made. Its 40 bucks. It doesnt turn the light on but it has flashing lights on it and has a loud alarm that is ear peircing. More then likely the burgelar will here it from outside making him retriet its so loud.
