Default V Force Noise

I just recently bought a new 700 V Force and love it. I do like everyone have the trans clanking in certain situations like coasting down a hill. I have learned to live with it. However ever since itwas new, (about two weeks ago) i notice a screeching sound comming from the belt area when climbing a small to modeate grade, or when the bike is under small load. It sounds like a bird is inside the belt housing scratching (a metallic scrathing). When i get going harder up the hill it seems to get less noticible. Its more noticible while at lower speeds Any input would be greatly appreciated
Thanks.
Brian

Mine did that after the 10hr inspection, the dealer had shimmed the clutch and I just assumed the belt was riding at a different angle. It went away after a couple of hours of trail riding.

2Lman Thanks for the input. Is this going to hurt the bike? I have prbably 3-4 Hrs on it now. I never was told about the 10hr inspection, Is this free? what do they do as far as servicing it during this time? Thanks
Brian.

i had mine out the other night and got it fairly wet, i think its the belt getting wet in my situation, it only does it at lower idle speeds, once the engine is revving it'll disapear. the first 10hr service is defniitely something you'd probably want to check into. i think the main thing they do is tighten up alot of nuts and make sure none have disapeared, i was missing two nuts when i took mine in, they changed the oil<clean out the metal chunks> and all that extra junk. i paid around 140 for mine, 120 for labor and 20 for parts<what a deal, haha>. since i'm paranoid about blowing the 6800 dollar toy up, i had the dealer do it.

The most important thing they do is set the valve lash, I paid $120.00CDN for the inspection.
