Worthless Clamps
#1
I had to change the front inside axle boot because of a tear in the boot (messy job) my question is the clamps that Kawi provided are pretty much worthless, cant even figure out how there suppose to work properly, anyway I wanted to put regular old fuel line clamps on the boot instead, would this be a problem at all?? Didnt know if the extra weight would be a big deal or not..

Is that the clamp that it takes two people to operate? One guy pulls the free end with a vice grip and pushes on the collar to tighten the clamp up, then another guy hits the clamp with a punch to lock it in place?
Yeah, I hate those too. I was able to get it to work fairly well monday night on a P400. I would consider going to a driveline supplier and getting their cv boot clamps if you don't like the kawi ones.

That would be the clamp.. Would appear it requires a special tool & 2 people, but I still dont completely understand how it works
Seems to me it would be a whole lot easier to put a regular people clamp on instead of strugling with this rediculous one.. Any thoughts on that??
