Thanks for not much! I find it hard to believe that not one Lakota owner has a owners manual and can tell me how the seat comes off. The web sucks.

Damm you own a quad and can't figure out how a seat comes off? LOL...Boy there must be some good maintenance performed on that quad...Have you tried asking your local dealer?

I see you found out you can get help if you put the topic of help needed in your question. I don't look at a thread when it says just "help". Seems you need more than atv help.

denttech,

I am not sure what you are meaning because you got two responses for your original request on the procedure that you asked about.

Did you bother to even look back at the thread?

Yes I am maintaining this quad. I only have it for a few months. And I didn't get an owners manual because it was used as is. How many machines have you taken apart without a picture or some instructions? I knew by bitching about the lack of responses, I'd get some. However, I didn't have any Lakota owners tell me how to remove the seat and or plastics. I just thought someone might know. ANd yes, I have looked at my previous posts, but I work and can't be on the PC all day. These posts also change a ton throughtout the day.

Wow this is a loaded question as I buy old quads and rebuild them/ customize them. I would say over 40 now....

There are bolts underneath the seat you need to loosen

Look under the rear of the machine at the grab bar mounting bolts. Remove the two that are closer to the front; loosen the other two. Remove the two straps that hold the rear mud flaps to the heel guards. Open the storage box behind the seat and remove the two bolts there. Lift the seat up at the rear and pull back. The seat and rear fenders should come off as a unit.

Removing the seat should not be that hard , if you cant figure it out , use force .....lol

Its not the site that sucks its newbies that cry if there post is'nt answered with what they wanted to hear or if they dont get answers fast enough...
Well sorry but some of us work also , and if we dont know the answer then we are not going to reply.....
