the little motor in the front mounted on your diff. has a gear in it that's about the size of a quarter and another one alittle smaller than a pencil. These two gears look to be just bradded togather and mine came apart once and had to replace the motor. It was still under warranty so no problems. I think if that is the problem you might weld it up or something. I have asked posted the ? a long time ago if anyone has had this problem so let me know if it is. There are three bolts holding it on and just take it apart look and see if the little gear is spinning inside the big gear. Hope this helps!

I am going to take the aculator off tonight & see if the motor is still working.. the dealer also said the the pin that engages the diff also might be out of spec, meaning it is not in the right postion.. I guess there is a small tolerance in the postion it needs to be at in order to work correctly.. Sledgehammer 650, I assume your acculator motor did not work at all then is this correct?? I will definetly post what the problem is once I find out..

I tooK the actuator apart, hooked it up to the battery, & it would work for a second then quite & not work at all.. then all the sudden it would work again.. so I took the cover off the actuator motor itself & WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP water & dirt had gotten up inside the actuator motor & pretty much ruined it , NICE GASKET KAWASAKI... What are we not suppose to ride in water with out ATV's?? Guess this will only cost me about $200 for a new actuator motor, how rediculous
