are the 650 stock wheels aluminium

Has any one try to stripe the paint off and polish them

The reason they bend easy is these wheels are only .160 grade aluminum not the better .190

I didn't know they were alum. Well I"m going to strip and polish them, I don't like the green wheels. I've done it before, see my bike pics here on my page (used to be red). Simple Industrial strength paint remover and mothers alum polish did the trick. I'll get some pics, maybe get to it this week.

There have been several people that have strpped them... they are not machine polished to the same level as a normal polished aluminum rim, so there may be imperfections that are difficult to remove, that are not noticable with the powder coat... they will, IMO, look better than the bronze, especially on the red quads... the bronze on the red looks to Eddie Bowerey to me...LOL...

Agree, I am concerned about the inner wheel, looks like some serious coating on there. I'm going for it, figure worse comes to worse I re coat em somthing else. Any I idea on the weight of the factory wheels?

YAM... they are nearly identical weight to the Douglas .160 rims...

How do the stock rims compare in weight to the ITP C series ?
I thought the stock rims were lighter than 34lbs total.
