Default kfx 700 cracked rear diff.

Has anyone seen or heard of this happening yet. I cracked mine after bottoming out on a jump. If you are looking at the rear of the bike it is on the left side straight down from the shock mount. Had a person that races GNCC say it was the third one he had seen do this. Guess i'm off to the dealer for some warranty work!!!!

Been there done that,, only it was on my 650 Prairie! Split the axle housing from one side to the other and the jump wasn't a big one either!

It wasn't a very big junmp at all. It was that kind of launched the bike straight up without a whole lot of forward momentum. I've jumped alot higher but with alot more forwarm momentum when I landed so it was smoother.

Prairiewrech, did the waranty cover yours OK?

Anyone had there rear shock rebuilt? Or do you think it is worth it?

Deamon-- Are you Big Al's alter ego?LOL
Talk to QuadCrew. Doug said that a P-650 was delivered to Hine's from the FACTORY with a cracked hsng. The crack was on the opposite side, though.
I was "watching" mine, the REST of the weekend!

Yes It's me. Big Al was taken here. Heard about the one being delivered to Hinds that way when I took mine in. They looked at mine and said it looked like a defective housing to them because of where and how it cracked. Bad news is I'll be without my bike for at least two weeks.

Yes mine was covered under warrenty. They had to replace the housing and everything in it including the ring and pinion gears.

Seen a few 650 Prairies like this... love to jump mine... put on a custom 3 shock rear suspension, the rear reinforcing ring from the V Force, & a custom brace for the left side ... don't have to worry about that problem any more...WAM
