actually i had a choice between the 400 or the 700 the local Polaris dealer took a 700 in on trade last week 2 months old very nice shape and since i know the dealership real well he was willing to let me have it for the same price as i was paying for my 400 (5385.00) OTD.
Rode both bikes several time thought about it and desided on the 400 because of the size.
I'm a small person 5'11" 165 lbs and that 700 is over 500 lbs and the 400 is more sutied to the style of riding i wanted to do.
as far a racing goes i ran a 700 this weekend and my 400 which i don't have hardly any seat time on and beat the 700 most of the time so i'm happy with my choice and think very highly of the both bikes.
belive me you won't be disappointed in the either bike.
do know that are way mobe upgrades out the for the 400 than the 700 though.

go with the kfx400. love it got mine last friday. there was a sell on them in upper sandusky, ohio. and got mine for a little over 4 grand. great for ne kind of riding
