I need your help on this one!

 

is it the idlear gear? know klx300 prior 03 had bad problems with the set up of the acr which in turn stripped the idler.

 

i havent had any problems with mine.

 

did they jam? i think the older ones 87,88 had problems with this.

 

Well I know some one on hear must have replaced theres at some point!

 

i've replaced mine a couple times, broken teeth.......1 is about $30 and the other is about $70

they're are a pain to change unlike my 200x where you just have to pop off a little cover.

Did it make a rattling noise when you started it up when they were broke!?

 

the times it happened to me the kickstarter lever either stayed in the down position or it just slipped and didn't grab anything.....i don't remember any clicking but it was a long time ago.

the problem could be farther inside where there is another gear.

 

mine got so screwwed up and when i took it apart i found out that somehow it had worked the circlip off and it started to wobble then it jammed itself metal shavings everywhere but it was 70 bucks and the site i got it from has a 100 $ min order BTW it was the idler gear
