jetting question for V-Force
#1
i have a new v-force and i have had the dmc duals n it for a week and now i am putting the jet kit in. If anyone with dmc or any other dual exhaust could tell me what size jets they have in and if it runs alot better that would help out a bunch thanx

Hi melba..
I dont have the duals on yet but if you look on the DMC web site, you'll see that they recommend 138/142. I would guess it will all depend on your altitude. Since it's so easy to jet the 700, I would just try different combinations until you find the sweet spot.

Open your airbox some too, you now have more flow---out, gotta let more in. I've seen that some people have just put the back 2 clips on the airbox lid under the lid and snapped the front two down to secure it. That would be a good way to determine if you need to open up the airbox before you cut it up

I HAVE THE DMC DUALS AT 6000FT. I CALLED DMC AND THEY SAID NOT TO CHANGE MY JETS BUT TO OPEN UP THE AIR SCREWS ON THE CARB FROM 1.5 TURNS TO 3.5 TURNS. THAT MADE A BIG DIFFERANCE IN THE COLOR OF THE SPARK PLUGS. OVER 10000FT I HAD TO REMOVE THE AIR BOX LID TO RUN PROPERLY, BUT IT RUNS REALLY WELL AT 13000FT. PLAY WITH IT AND MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE SPARK PLUGS WITH A HOT CUT OFF AFTER ANY ADJUSTMENTS.
