those quadsports are pretty nice for how old they are my friend had one and my timberwolf was about the same speed as that was

I was trying to prove a point to blasterboi. READ it again...

 

k man i have a mojave and ridden a blaster. the mojave has a pretty dam hightech engine for the day it came out and mine is just as fast as my friends warrior with a supertrap pipe and k&n.my mojaves stock. the blaster is faster than a mojave but they are crap for reliability. and the brakes really suck. a warrior is a 2 valve mojave 4. mojaves dont suck there actualy quite potent for a 250. and i know blaster bois said 250r and trx250. thats like comparing apples and oranges. 4 stroke - 2 stroke. they both have there benefits.

 

yamaha improved the blaster brakes, they put disk brakes on it now. the reason why i think the mojave is one of the most underrated bikes is because its not as popular as the 300ex, when you go to buy a quad your going to really think of whats most popular...like honda, yamaha, suzuki..not bombardier, arctic cat, polaris, and cannondale, which are good bikes(some)..even the small name companies like-gas gas, and kasea. i know somany guys with quads, and only one i know, who i dont ride with, has a mojave.

I agree very much underrated. My 2001 has changes only to the front sprocket(13), with a nasty loud power exhaust, jet change, and 20" tires. I can stay side by side w/ my buddy's stock lt250r 2stroke all the way until I hit rev limiter in 5th. Then I get burned of course.

 

The Mojave is a rockin little ride. They have good power and handle great. I had an 04 that I sold to my brother for his kid. Then I got my 04 KFX 400. Which is obviously a whole different animal!
But I will definatly miss the 250 Mojave.
