Default KFX 700, jetting with dynojet & dial-a-jet

Ok Guys ......... results of experments of the last two days.

I was using stock needles, 150/155 jets, and dial-a-jets on maximum. Had great power, but a bit
of a "hic-up" at about 4000 rpm under full throttle. Decided I couldn't get more air .... the filter will
only flow so much......... so what to do about the "hic-up"

I decided to try different needles, so I ordered a dynojet kit. The small dynojet needles with the
150/155 jets was WAY to much fuel .... even with the dial-a-jets turned off. ( with needles in
the fifth notch.)

I put the dynojet needles with the dynojet jets .......... and it ran perfect. smooth through the whole
power band ................. BUT MUCH LESS POWER ..........

I now have the dynojet needles clip in the third notch, with 140/146 jets, and the dial-a-jets on max.
I have my POWER BACK ! and NO HIC-UP !!

I am thinking that tomorrow I will increase the jets to 146/150 with the needle clips in the second
or third notch.... I will let you know how it turns out.

Vforcer- I wish you luck. Jetting can make a man crazy, I had to move the dynojet clip to the fourth notch..too rich down low. that seemed to help it out quite a bit. I also ordered a Twinair filter from rockymountain atv(2003 Prarie) a little better flow. I just went up 1 jet size from the recommend front jet to richen it up a little, my rear seems perfect. Goodluck, I'll keep up on your post.
