Default Dalton Industries Blue Spring inpressions

This is not a review but my first impressions of the Dalton blue spring for the V-Force 700. The spring itself is a little taller, not much, maybe 1/6th of an inch or so, I didn't measure. You don't think of these things when you get something cool in the mail and all you want to do is try it out...hehe.

Installation went fairly easy, just remove the center bolt and the face plate. Pull the spring off and put the blue spring on the face plate and push it on. Then just put the bolts back on. The spring is installed.

I went for a short 30 minute test ride. The engagement is higher, at first I thought something was wrong when I was going into reverse...hehe. The engagement is not alot higher but it helps with bringing the front end up on solid ground. I do not know how it works with sand and hills yet, it just rained so I need to wait till it drys out and put on my sand tires to see how it works there.

Top speed run is not really fair either, it was very humid today and my top speed run area has some puddles on it. I did achieve 115 kph, it has run 119 kph in the past with stock tires.

I'm not sure if Dalton has finalized the blue spring or not as they shipped it to me for testing purposes. Please keep this in mind and this is not a review but an impression on how the spring does. I will ask Dalton if I can officially call it a review and if it reflects their finalized blue spring.

EDIT: The magic wall people talk of, well I really never felt this wall before. I don't know if its because of my elevation or maybe my jetting is spot on. I do think the spring helps at the mid range where people say the magical wall begins. Its not night and day difference but it does increase the acceleration.

I will be going on vacation in about a month. I will have a riding partner then and I will be able to give ride results in much more detail as I will have a Z400 to test against and I will be able to do timed runs. I also hope to get my exhaust by then, with any luck. I will record some video of all this.
