Default V or P700 primary spring int he p650 ?

A question was asked in another post asking about the 2004 driven springs in the V and or P700s' being any better or recomended in the P650s'. Any more news on this?
We also read info on the 700 belts being better and made by a different MFG.
Any more news on this?

The P650 primary spring is not the same as the V700 or the P700. You can look the part numbers up for yourself.

The P700 and V700 have the same primary spring and all share the same secondary spring.

I will be testing the P700 spring in my P650 this weekend.

The primary springs are $7.50 at Ron Ayers (nice and cheap).

DWB,

Just like you, I am planning to insert a P700 primary spring into my P650. I'm just waiting for it to be delivered from ron ayers. I expect to receive it soon and I'll report back with my results...I'm hoping to get more acceleration from bottom-end through mid-range.

As a side note, I also ordered (from ron ayers) the P700 belt for my P650, but the belt is now on back order and I won't receive it for another 2 weeks. Once I receive the belt, I also plan to report my results...I'm hoping to get more top-speed (especially since I have one of the "slow" P650s).

MikeyB,

If you can, do some top speed, and timed runs 300-350 feet, with a GPS to verify. Try it with each of the primaries, with and without the black spring, DG on and off. And lastly stock tires vs Mudlites for each scenario. Otherwise, do it with stock tires. We need a common starting point.

Thanks,

DWB

The rock,

The part no. for the P700/V700 belt is 59011-0003 per Kawasaki's website. Hope this helps.
