bbertram, how old are you? Why are you having so much trouble?

Mike, glad you have you back also. How was your trip? Sounds like you had fun.

Im getting my staples and stiches removed Wed. I have 21 staples and 26 stiches. The outer ankle is still swelled up. I dont think its normal, I will find out Wend though.

KOD...good to have you back... I noticed your posts have been more upbeat latey... that is good... I've always loved the mountains... I may just have to put fuel injection onto the 650, when I rebuild & install the 750 kit, just to be able to take it to the mountains without having to rejet... it would have been nice to have my "beast", rather than those aneamic 330 trail bosses...LOL... at 10,000 ft, they barely had the power to climb anything... the dealer insisted that it was because of the altitude, rather than any detuning that they did...LOL...

SHOTGUN... where are you??? I'm ready to test / fit some belts... I was hoping you'd have given me a place to start anyway ...LOL...

Im trying to keep a good attitude. I have been out in the garage more and messing with the atvs. I removed all the snorkels and dyno kit from the Kodiak. Sold the snorkels and dyno kit and sold the Kodiak today out of the yard.

I must admit, that I'm really optimistic about one of these new belts... it is marginally longer, quite a bit wider, & actually has a thicker sheeve contact area, while not being any thicker overall...it is labeled as heat & static disapating, & appears to be a much higher quality belt than the stock 650 belt, when put side by side...we'll try to fit / test them this weekend, & I'll post any performance gains if noted... I then have a hare scramble race, that I'll be racing in, on the 28th... if the belt can take the wear of the race, I'll then post the brand & part number...

the one that looks like a stock replacement, has the same beefy feel & look, it is a bit thinner, but the sheeve contact area is greater than the 650 belt... I believe ( I don't have a 700 Kawasaki belt to compare it with right now ), that it would speck out very similarly to the 700 belt... I should be able to confirm this, when DWB, comes over for testing, with his 700 Prairie...

again these are listed as industrial belts, they are made by a large belt manufacturer, that also manufactures snowmobile belts... they are much cheaper than even the reciently discovered ( outragiously cheap ), prices of the Kawasaki belts...

more later...WAM

KISSSOFDEATH:

I'm 24, I have had arthritus for about 10 years or so. If no cure or treatment is found in the next 10-15 years I could be in for a bit of trouble.

I hate to hear that bbertram. Thats a young age to be having that much trouble. I had the staples and stitches removed today. My swelling is normal according to the Dr. Dont let anyone tell you removing staples dont hurt. Some were down right painfull and others I could barely feel.

Mike, I look forward to hearing your belt test results. I went ahead and bought a P360 belt. It was a tough decision between it and the 700 one. I wanted more performance so I took the chance on the 360 belt. If I can gain a true 1 more mph then its worth it to me.

bertram, You may already know this but I have heard from several people that 1000mg of MSM four times a day along with 1000mg of Glucosomine three times a day really help's slow the problem down.......

I don't like to take drugs or pills. I only take one pill a day and that is my centrum silver pills. I may look into some treatments when I get older and feel the effects more. I feel all this manufactured crap we put into our bodies is killing us. It seems like cancer is everywhere today, I blame it on the life style we all live now, quick and easy or forget it. An example is using a microwave, people use it to boil water!!! What the hell is that all about? Get a kettle and boil it, I'm 100% sure its less harmfull this way but people are willing to get cancer and such for convience. Just how I perceive things in my opinion.

bbertram;

Get to a doctor and get some pills.

Damage done to joints from Arthritis is irreversible. Why live in pain if you don't have to?

I suffered for years, for nothing, there already is a cure, or at least they can stop it from going farther, but they can't fix damage already done.

Good luck.

Hey Mike, just thought I'd let ya know as I told DWB I won't be able to come beat on the belts with ya. I will be tearing my 700 P down to get ready to get the 785 kit in it and hopefully with some luck I will have it done before the September 28th harescramble! I also have to spend every free minute working on the track when I'm not working on the quads,,, we sorta got that big race coming up soon ya know! LOL!! Keep up the good work there and we'll see ya the 28th! Maybe I should put mirrors on mine so Leo can see where ya are during the race!!!! LMAO!!!!
