I've got the ProArmor racing grab bar and the front bumper. They both fit perfectly into place, no messing around at all. I'm pretty sure my daughter is getting me the nerfs for Xmas.

I bought the AC nerfbars for my "V" (along with the IMS aluminum heel guards and Roll Design up-swept footpegs) but have not put them on yet. I think I might have problems due to some "crooked welding". The small diameter tube that is butt welded to the left nerf bar (that will insert into the right nerf bar connecting the two under the machine) was not centered on the larger diameter nerf bar tube when it was welded. It's also a bit crooked. Anybody else notice this on theirs?

These comments are the exact reason why I have not put nerfs on yet. If I spent my hard earned $ on on something, and had to wrestle with it to put it on, it would be extremely difficult for me to control my temper!

My opinion is that Nerf bars (whichever ones you get) are so necessary that they should be stock equipment and I don't understand why they are not. Mine have saved me from some serious potential pain. Get them on. Call AC or DG or whoever and get the instructions and the tech support and go buy whatever tools you need (tools will cost less than having them installed by someone else).

I just had a second thought... my buddy just high centered his nerf bar on a rock (kind of snagged the pointy top of this big rock), came to a sudden stop, and flew head first off the bike into some rocks. Hmm. If that nerf bar hadn't been there both front and rear wheels would have just bounced over the rock.

Decisions, decisions.

I'm new to atv'ing why are neft bars so necessary? What all purposes do they serve?

If your foot get knocked off the pegs it can get under one of the rear tires and it will break your leg!

Has anyone tried the nerf bars that Kawasaki sells ? Does anyone know who makes them ? Kawasaki or someone else. I just noticed on the buykawasaki web page they have dual exhausts for the v-force , $950 bucks..ouch !

tmm2good, I don't know who makes Kawi's nerf bars but from what I understand ProCircuit makes their $950 exhausts. I saved myself about $350 by simply getting the "regular" ProCircuit's. Couldn't justify spending an additional $175 per side just to have the Kawasaki name on the exhausts...he, he, he.

Hey Mark what unit were ya in?
I'm a White Devil myself 2/504th '92-95
I'm pretty new to the whole quad deal but I have a v-force and love it I mostly go mountain climbing with it up here in Colorado I have found that i can take it damn near anywhere a 4x4 can go minus the mud

but I recently put on ac nerfs on mine the left side lines up fine but the right has some play in the back by the peg (moves in and out a little)
I came off a jump last summer and my boot slipped off the peg (very slick on the stock pegs) I rolled off the bike but it kept going
I have never gotten up and ran faster well except from running from the cops in my younger age! needless to say when you watch your quad about to drive itself off a mountain side you do some thinking
I love them no more slips
