V Force Cough?
#1
I've noticed that when I hold my throttle about 1/8 open my back cylinder kinda coughs every now and again, almost like it's building up a little bit. Currently I am running the dynojet kit with the following: dynojet needle on 4th clip, main jets 126f/128r. My air screws are 2 3/4 turns out. It runs great except when putting very slowly(1/8-1/4 throttle) The plugs are a dark brown both front and rear and it rips from 1/4 throttle to full throttle. I run my dual tpi vents only about 3/8 of the way open, with a twin air filter and HMF duals with both the silent cores and spark arresters on them. Any help would be appreciated. I'm thinking of going back to the stock needles and just running 150/155 or whatever gets me running 100% smooth again.

I'll try that tonight, yet I'll have to wait untill tommorow to fire it up. My neighbors would love me if I fired it up tonight. I've also noticed that I need to choke it if it hasn't been fired up that day. Never had to do that before the dynojet kit. Thanks nyroc, I will post the results of my clip shift. 5th notch here i come.

Mudfoot-I'v had my v for about 2 months all stock except pink epi primary spring and I noticed that I have to use the choke to cold start mine too (for the last couple of weeks anyway) so I'm with you just wanting to know if anyone might know why that is. Chances are your situation is different then mine with your air flow mods but I figured I would jump in to see if anyone might have some insight. I'v read some stuff about the choke cable causing some problems so if I don't have to use it I would rather not. It most likely wiil start with out using the choke but I don't want to gride on the starter anymore then I have to. I know that the choke is there for cold starting but still the same I didn't use to have to use it mabe it's just showing it's age lol.

Try the needles one more notch higher.
Those needles are lean, if it coughs at 1/8 throttle.
