Default Need advice on P700 purchase

Looking at purchasing a new atv and I'm looking hard at the P700. My one concern about the Kawi is the rear suspension. I've owned an Artic Cat 300 4x4 for the last 5 years and I'm sold on the independent suspension. However, I'm sick of the AC's engine problems and lack of parts availability. I like the Kawi's dependability and track record, plus the local dealer has been around for a very long time and have a good reputation. The local AC dealer has changed I don't know how many times and the current dealer is a small engine and lawn mower dealer. I know I've been spoiled by the ride of the IRS, but I think I can get past that. I know there are other brands with IRS, but I've ruled them out for other reasons for right now, focusing on the prairie. My main use of the atv will be utility and most of my "hard riding" will come from mud and water. How does the Kawi handle the mud in comparison to some of the IRS brands/models? What effect does water submersion have on the belt drive? Also, this is slightly off topic, but what have you guys been paying for the Kawis in relation to MSRP? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Well incase you have not heard the new AC is using the P650 motor now. There is your IRS Pairie. I have had mine up the the seat in water with no problems. That fast access front locking feature is the way to go. Go ride on and let us know. Parts? Well you would have 2 sources to go to.

I almost forgot. If you are close enough to shop at http://www.smithbrothersoneonta.com/ in Oneonta Alabama. Give them a try. Good folks. No animated sales personnel. Christians. He will come off MSRP and if you are from out of state, no tax untill you report it. The no tax is not his sales pitch. It's just the law. You can pay it there if you wish.
Mine was a left over 03 for 5825.00 out the door. The 2003 700 he has on his site for 7281.00 may be a Type-O. I was there and seen it. It is a 04 700 with a Big foot kit on it. I can't remember it they were Black waters or Titan 589's.
