In this months 4 Wheel ATV Action, they state that Kawasaki will be releasing a 250 2-stroke and a 400 4-stroke in similar chassis.
It's up to you too believe it or not.
I choose to believe.

Live always I choose to believe. If they do I might have to say bye bye LT250R and 400EX, hello KXF250 and KXF400

I read that, and don't know what to beleive. I know after watching Bill Balance on that 250 in Huevos 2 I was almost ready to sell my quad and get one. :-) But no 2-strokes for me. Can't wait to see what kind of 400 motor they use, if it's true. I just hope if it does come true it's almost as good as the XC machine they have racing now.

If that is true, Kawasaki already has two of those KXF250R quads sold to me and a friend. This is what most high-performance riders have been waiting for. If you guys thought that Honda had a problem supplying the demand for the 400EX, just wait until Kawasaki releases the new KXF machines...

I thought the 250 2 stroke was already in production? They test drove it against a 250r in dirt wheels magazine 3 months ago. Whats the deal?

Dominator, the KXF in Dirt Wheels was one of three prototypes based on a roll chasis.

Well what ever Kawasaki decides to produce, I'll buy. I want a new two-stroke, but a water-cooled 400 4-stroke will also work. If only we could convince Kawasaki to come out with their new bikes sooner!

I wonder if the 400cc 4-stroke will be kick start or if it will be an electric start with reverse... the latter would sell more if they also offered the KXF250R (as in, sell more compared to just a kick-start 400 4-stroke).

I agree with Tom. A kick-start 250 and a electric-start w/reverse 400 would steal the market if they turned out half decent. If they do come out with a 400 that has reverse, I will be very tempted to "move on up."
