Default Tapping Noise in my 650???

I fired up the 650 yesterday after I washed it and let it idle for a few minutes and could hear this tapping sound down by the cover that goes over the engine brake and belt? It only makes this noise when its idling, as soon as you touch the thottle it goes away... I have about 550km on the bike about 41hrs and I do drive it aggressive sometimes but not in the mud yet.. Should I be concerned about this or should I wait for my second service at the dealer which is in about 19 hrs and tell them? I think the noise may have been there all along and I'm just noticing it.. I don't know.. Please help! Thanks..

It sounds normal. Many of us have had some clunking (and noises) from our CVT region at idle. The noises start once the clutches get dirty or the belt gets worn. Some reported a new belt made their noise go away. Others, just an adjustment or a cleaning.

It wouldn't hurt to give things a look over to make sure.
