Default Fuel consume on KFX700

My Kawa KFX700 is consuming an incredible amount of fuel. During a ride, I discovered that very frequently the petrol come out from the tube close to the left foot peg. I do not understand why this large amount of fuel arriving from the carburators needs to come out. Who knows about it?

That hose would be a float-bowl vent, I think. Is the choke lever in the "OFF" postion? My machine gets 40 miles to the tank, most of the time.

You may want to have the float levels checked, sounds like the fuel you are seeing may be coming from the overflow in the carb bowl. If your float is set too high, the excess fuel just runs out on the ground, and you run rich, which can really hurt you mileage.

All V-Forces suck back fuel like no tomorrow. I feel 40 miles is not good enough, my Z400 did alot better than that and with less fuel. Its just the nature of the beast though, big power needs lots of fuel.
