lakota mods

I just got a 00 lakota for christmas. After i get it broken in i would like to get a pipe and maby different back tires. does anyone know of any good mods to make it go faster without loosing low end. if you know of any other mods for it please tell me. i can only spend a max of $800

Well as for mods i would get a White Bros pipes, K and N air filter, Jet Kit,Maybe a hotter cam , Big bore kit. As for tires i dont realy know maybe maxxis all tracks

Oh well thats all i can think of right now

will realters, surtracks, or alltracks
i those are the tires i would like so which one do you suggest. now it is broken in and its ready to get the valves adjusted so i need some ideas soon P.S. i ride in snow mud and hard surfaces

out of your choices I would go with the Sur-traks. I had them on my warrior and even when they were 3/4 worn out they still performed incredibly well. My dad also has them on his lakota right now

st250r, your most cost-effective hop-up for your Lakota in my opinion is a hotter cam. I don't know your riding style; if it involves typical trail riding, the WebCam (webcaminc.com) 40a grind should prove a little hotter than your OEM stick (not a bad cam itself, by the way); if you add other mods, pipe, etc., the 40b grind, along with the required valvetrain buildup should give you some more top-end oats.

The WebCam 40a grind drops right in, replacing the stock cam with no other modifications required. However, the Lakota engine, in my opinion, isn't a really good candidate for extensive modifications--you're close to optimal setup from the factory, for typical ATV service. Racing? Another matter, but you'd probably choose another platform to start. Good luck!
