Turbocharged Mojave
#1
Hey guys,i was thinking about buying a 88' mojave for 300.00 and heavily modding it. the reason why i want to mod. it is because i would really like more powerful quad and i cant pass up a deal like that for the quad. My idea is to put a garett turbo on it since i already have it. what are your guys thoughts on this. i also thought of the sneaky pete nos system cause my dad has it layin around.

my 2 cents are, if you did get it to work i dunno how well the block would hold up to forced induction second i tihnk you might want to beef up the innards third you would need a low compression piston to make it work more effeciently, fourth i dunno if the exhaust that comes out of the mojave will be enough to spin the turbine inside the turbo, if your using the garret one, fifth, you would have to have a reducer to take the stock headpipe and have it fit the 4 bolt flange on the turbo, you get past that you need an induction system out of tubing to suck in the air with a filter on the end then you need it to go into a box that is connected to the carb that already gets air (air box would work prolly) and then you might be in business , sixth, if it works post as many pictures as you can and you will be my hero

thanks boob that helped alot! i also wasn't shure about the exhaust from the mojave being enough to turn the turbine. there is always trial and error!. but if i get it all hooked up ans it doesnt work i wouldnt wanna mess up the quad if u know what i mean.
thanks guys for all your reply's
